All versions have permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission (torque converter), now with a sail function: in certain circumstances, usually when flat, the transmission selects neutral so that the car moves without retention of the transmission system. Another new feature are blades behind the grille that open and close automatically to improve, respectively, engine cooling or aerodynamics.
