The 911 is a sports car manufactured by Porsche since 1964. The first generation was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 12, 1963, thought as the replacement for the Porsche 356. The prototype was called “Porsche 901”, but a Peugeot lawsuit led to the trade name being changed to 911.
